TestMyWireless allows users to test wireless connection performance, browser features, and locate broadband services on mobile web browser. This site is built entirely using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS so it will work on mobile browsers lacking Flash support and without installing an app.
This is an evening/weekend pet project to both help me learn mobile site development and end up with a useful web application for smart phone and tablet comparison shopping. I hope others will find it useful as well.
Media used for download tests is hosted on the MaxCDN content delivery network as well as Google App Engine in addition to the primary hosting service in an attempt to reduce the margin of error from general internet congestion. The best download source is detected automatically
